Advance Diploma in Optometry and Ophthalmic Techniques (ADOPT)
Skilled optometry/ophthalmic technician with expertise in vision testing, patient care, and advanced diagnostic equipment, ensuring accurate eye assessment and quality care.
Eligibility : 10+2 or equivalent with science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with minimum 45% marks
Knowledge and Skills :
Knowledge of Common Eye Diseases (Cataract, Glaucoma, Refractive errors)
Basics of Optics and Vision Science
Understanding of Refraction Techniques
Familiarity with Ophthalmic Instruments and Diagnostic Procedures
Infection Control and Hygiene Practices
Performing Eye Vision Tests (Visual Acuity, Refraction)
Using Diagnostic Equipment (Autorefractor, Slit Lamp, Tonometer)
Assisting Ophthalmologists in Eye Examinations and Surgeries
Contact Lens Fitting and Guidance
Measuring and Fitting Eyeglasses
